LTC Bentley served his country while in the U.S. Army from 1951-1970.  During his career, he served in Occupied Germany, the Korean Conflict and Vietnam.  He earned numerous medals including the Korean, Vietnam and Occupation (Germany) Service medals.  He also was awarded the Army Flight Badge, numerous Commendations, the Vietnamese Campaign Medal, the Legion of Merit and a Bronze Star. He was honorably discharged and retired in 1970.
