Through the support of our friends at Risher Mortuary, the family of Navy Reserve Veteran Arthur Richard "Dick" Brown has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to honor their hero for his service and sacrifice to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.

Dick Brown was commissioned to grade of Ensign USNR and accepted appointment in November 1958. He completed his active duty requirement effective July 1961, and completed his reserve obligation in November 1966. He served aboard the USS Rochester, a heavy destroyer in the Pacific. He was honorably discharged after completing his obligations and earned the rank of LtJG.

Mr. Brown was a Registered Geologist and Certified Engineering Geologist with the State of California for almost 50 years. He worked overseas in Greece and the Philippines.

Dick loved the military and was passionate in his support of veterans and the Long Beach Veterans Medical Center.

Dick Brown is survived by wife Margaret "Genny", brothers Harry and Tom, daughters Andrea and Susannah, son Charles, and 3 grandchildren.

For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the family residence to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.
