The family of Bernett Floyd Neumann have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey.  It will be our honor to do so.  Bernett’s son-in-law, Terry, is one of our PGR brothers.

Bernett was born 27 Sep 1927 and entered into Eternal Rest 4 Dec 2019.

Bernett was very proud of his service to our country.  He entered the Army on 21 Jan 1946 and served to 4 Jul 1947.  Bernett was a Technician 5th Grade at his discharge.

After his service, Bernett received his education at North Dakota State University School of Pharmacy, graduating in 1951.  He worked as a Pharmacist in Great Falls, Montana, where he met and married Jacquilin (Jackie) in 1964.  They later moved to Lewistown, Montana, where he worked at Ed’s Pharmacy/Rexall Drugs until 1972.  He then purchased his own pharmacy in Stanford, Montana.  While in Stanford, he became involved in community affairs and served as a school board member.  Bernett organized  the construction of a new swimming pool while doing so at night organized other community members to do landscaping around it.  Bernett was not finished; he then became an EMT and was responsible for the purchase of an ambulance for the community. He also trained other community members as volunteers and ran the local ambulance service as well as teaching first aid.  He was also responsible for the construction of Judith Basin Manor, a low income, equal opportunity housing project for senior citizens and was involved in the Meals on Wheels. In 1980, he was one of eleven winners of the Jefferson Awards for those who performed significant public service without recognition.   In 1984, he moved to Parker and Lake Havasu City working as a Pharmacist until he retired. He then relocated to Highland, California.  Bernett also loved hunting, fishing, snow skiing, bowling, golf, playing cards as well as spending time with his family.

Bernett was preceded in death by his wife Jackie, and two brothers, Emerson and Cordell.  He is survived by three daughters, Melody Swallows, Melissa Scriven, (wife of PGR Terry Scriven), and Nicki Miller (Terry), four Grandchildren and one Great-Grandchild.

We honor Bernett for service to his community and his country and ask that you honor his life by keeping his memory alive.
