The family of Brian Keith Rineberg, 54, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.
 
Brian served 16 years in the United States Marine Corps.  He was a veteran of the Gulf War/Operation Desert Storm, and had been deployed to Lebanon, Liberia, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.  At the time of his discharge Brian had attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. 
 
For his many years of service Brian was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, the Combat Action Ribbon w/1 gold star (Liberia, Kuwait/Saudi Arabia), the Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon w/2 bronze stars, the Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal w/4 bronze stars, the Marine Corps Expeditiary Medal w/1 bronze star (Lebanon/Liberia), the National Defense Service Medal, the Southwest Asia Service Medal w/3 bronze campaign stars, the Humanitarian Service Medal, the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon w/4 bronze stars, the Kuwait Liberation Medal (Saudi Arabia), the Kuwait Liberation Medal (Kuwait), Rifle Expert Badge (12th Awd), the Pistol Expert Badge (5th), the Meritorious Mast, the Certificate of Commendation (2), Letter of Appreciation and the Good Conduct Medal.
 
In civilian life Brian was an IT Specialist for Corky Pest Control.   He is survived by a brother and two sisters.
 
The family has requested an accompaniment from the mortuary in Vista to Brian’s final resting place at Miramar National Cemetery.   Brian was a member of the American Legion Post 365 in Vista, and was a friend of fellow Marine and SoCal PGR member, JD Ernst.  JD will RC this mission.
 
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

NOTE: Due to unknown traffic conditions prior to the July 4th weekend, we are leaving the mortuary early.  Estimated arrival at Miramar NC is 0830 with services scheduled for 0900.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
