The family of Lieutenant Colonel Carl Vindiola (Ret) has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

Carl served 33 years in the US Army National Guard.  He was deployed to Vietnam 1969-1971.  He was awarded the Purple Heart for combat injuries he sustained during deployment.

While serving in the National Guard, Carl also had a 37-year career with AT&T.  He was a Communication Technician maintaining the ESS (Electronic Switching System) offices in the Imperial Valley.  He also served 6 years on the Calexico School Board.  Carl was very involved and provided leadership and support to the following veterans groups:  AMVETS, Heber Veteran Group, VFW, and the American Legion.  He was also Master of Ceremonies for Veterans Day and Memorial Day events.

Carl is survived by his wife and 5 children.
