LT Ryan Schwartz, age 37, enlisted in the US Navy in 1999, he began his career as an Enlisted man and worked his way up to Officer, not an easy path to take.  He was a sailor of exemplary service and loyalty to the Navy, supporting and mentoring his fellow sailors in every way he was able.  He had two deployments to Hawaii in his career which spanned 19 years and 3 months, and was stationed in Virginia at the time of his passing.
