We have lost one of our own, Brenda “Pebbles” Bixler, a member of our PGR family since 2013 and Ride Captain since 2019, a woman who’s presence was always a joy with that beautiful smile, that fiery red hair, and the most awesome hugs ever. We cannot believe you are gone Sister, you will always be missed and never, ever, forgotten.

Brenda was a devoted mother, daughter and sister to her own family, and also to her PGR family. She was, without question, devoted to our Military and First Responders, and to her brothers and sisters of the Patriot Guard Riders. Brenda was also a member of The Patriots and they are also invited.

We are grateful her family has invited the PGR to be present at her memorial service to honor her and her service to others.

Brenda was a woman who did everything with passion, she lived life that way, and she loved that way. She was a natural care giver to her family, most especially her sweet sister who very often accompanied her on PGR missions. She worked for many years for the school system in Riverside, where she lived, until the pandemic changed all that. She was very proud to be a redhead with Irish heritage, and felt a bond with all redheads everywhere. She was given the road name Pebbles by her PGR family years ago, and it suited her, adorable, happy, loving, she will always be remembered that way.

Brenda was a strong believer in the Lord and attended church regularly at East Hills Community Church where her memorial service will be held. There is no question that the good Lord has welcomed our Pebbles, along with her loved ones and friends that have gone before her.

Brenda is survived by her daughter Rianna, her mother Velda Kelley, her father Norman Kelley, her sister Karen, brother Neal and many other family members, including her PGR family. We will always feel the loss of this very special woman, she will never be forgotten and will ride with us in spirit at every single mission we attend.

The family has requested that we wear Red, as that was Pebble's favorite color.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this PGR Member. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying Brenda and her family from the family home to the church. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the church, we will meet you there.
