The family of US Army SP4 David Keith Swoger has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service. It will be our privilege to do so.

David served during the Cold War and then the beginning of the Vietnam War, from December 1961 to December of 1963.  Once discharged, he served in the Reserves until December 1967.

David also worked as a Quality Control Inspector in the aerospace industry.
Outside of work, David was very much into the Off-Road community. He was also a prominent member of the Elks.While in the Elks, David became an Exalted Ruler and District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler.

David is survived by his wife of 61 years, Midge, his son Eric and daughter Teena and 7 grandchildren between their two families.He is also survived by 2 brothers, Ted and Karl, and 5 sisters, Phyllis, Janie, Sharon, Linda, and Deb.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying the Hero and his family from family home to the Elk's Lodge approx 5.8 miles. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. If you prefer to meet the procession at the Lodge please feel free to do so.

0930 - Stage at Little Caesar’s Pizza, 7611 White Oak Ave, Reseda, CA 91335. (https://goo.gl/maps/y9sFJX2ktuNbxvhR9) (Note: this is a small strip mall with a donut shop, but Little Caesar’s was easier to spot from the street)

0945 – Mission briefing

1000 – KSU to the residential location (less than 1 mile)

1015 – Flag Line for transfer of Hero from home to vehicle

1045 – Flag Line for transfer of Hero from vehicle to Elks Lodge

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
