The family of Paul W. Bennett has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the service and Military Honors for their Hero, it would be our honor to do so.

Paul Bennett, age 84, was born and raised in New York, and enlisted in the US Navy shortly after high school.  He served from June 1, 1951 to July 20, 1955 during the Korean War.

After the military Paul moved his family to So California where he worked on the docks as a forklift operator through the Teamsters and did this all his life until retirement.

Paul also was very proud of his military service and loved being around other Veterans.  He joined the American Legion and was a member for many years and was past Post Commander of American Legion Post 216 in Corona.

Paul lost his first wife of 53 years Lillian 11 yrs ago, her best friend was Gloria, and on her deathbed Lillian asked Paul and Gloria to be together and take care of each other.  Gloria was hesitant so it took awhile, but 6 years later she and Paul were married, and did take care of each other until Gloria's passing August 5, 2015.

Paul is survived by his stepson Joe Varela.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran.
