The Family of Mark Porterfield requests the PGR to stand and participate in his Funeral Service.
Mark Porterfield was not a veteran but a member of the Patriot Guard Riders for some time. He passed away this last Sunday while out riding with his wife. Both of his sons served proudly in the military and said "our father has always been the biggest supporter for everyone who has served in the Armed Force’s. He was a proud American".
He was 59 years old and passed away from a heart attack while out riding with his wife on their Polaris RZR. He worked for Southwest Gas Company for nearly 25 years. He loved his family, Rock and Roll, NASCAR and his beer.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring a fellow Patriot Guard Member for his Patriotism.

"We ride in HONOR of those who have served..
We ride in HOPE for the safety of those who are serving...
We ride in MEMORY of those we have lost."
You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. WE encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the staging area and you will be briefed there. Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).
