The family Charles A. Chia has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to honor their hero for his service and sacrifice to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
Mr. Chia was born and raised in Los Angeles CA 12 September 1940 and passed away 21 July 2015.
Charles Chia enlisted in the US Air Force in July, 1960 and was honorably discharged at the rank of Staff Sergeant in July, 1966. He served in Germany most of his active duty as an aircraft mechanic and flight systems specialist.
After his military service Mr. Chia continued his education in business at Pepperdine University and worked for the So/Cal Gas Co for 33 yrs.
Mr. Chia was a recovered alcoholic and 23 yr member of AA. He was a mentor and sponsor to many. His hobbies were woodworking and computers.
He was a devoted husband, father and grand father. He leaves behind his wife of 50 yrs. Ma-Ev, four children and six grandchildren.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage. Please ride/drive safely.
