The family of Robert "Bob" Persell III, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to our nation. It will be our privilege to do so.
Bob served 5 yrs for his country in the United States Marine Corps He Served over seas during the Iraq War and was a Stinger Missile Detachment Commander at Camp Pendleton during the Iran-Iraq War. At the time of is discharge Bob had attained the rank of 1st Lieutenant.
After his discharge, Bob went on to serve with the LA and Fairfax County Police Departments. He began working for the US government as an Air Marshall in 2002.
He loved cycling and trained for the Tour de France, swimming, target shooting and hiking.
Bob is survived by his wife of 26 years Suzanne, son Robert IV, daughter Blaire, brother Jeff of Fairfax, VA, and parents Robert, Jr. and Beverley of Alexandria, VA.

Robert A. Persell III You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
