This comes to us thru one of our fellow PGR members and personal friend of the Hero.

The family of Paul Leandro has invited the Patriot Guard to honor this WWII hero from "The Greatest Generation" to attend his services. It will be our distinct honor to do so.

Paul was born on 7 June 1924 and entered Eternal Rest on 21 August 2015.

Paul served in the United States Army from 17 June 1944 to 21 June 1946, when he was discharged at the rank of Private. Paul proudly served in the European Theater of Operations during the hostilities, and in occupied Germany after the war's end. Paul served with "C" Company, 803rd Military Police Battalion.  He was awarded the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, American Theater Medal, American Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the Rifle Sharpshooter Badge.

After his honorable discharge, Paul worked for Maco Construction Company as a Pipeline Construction Foreman.

In his leisure time Paul was an avid reader of any type of book, he also enjoyed tending his flowers and yard, and camping in Ensenada, Mexico.

Paul is preceded in Eternal Rest by his son David, daughter Christine, and wife Theresa.

Paul is survived by his son Paul Jr. a US Army veteran, and his daughter Carol, 10 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran.
