Through the support of our friends at Risher Mortuary, the family of Army Veteran Joseph Milan has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to honor their hero for his service and sacrifice to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.

Mr. Milan proudly served with the US Army from 1942 to 1946 in charge of the motor pool in Manila, Philippines. At the time of his honorable discharge he had attained the rank of Sergeant-Technical 4th Grade, 332 Field Artillery Battalion. He earned the American Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and World War II Victory Medal.

In civilian life Joseph worked as a Foreman for the General Services Administration for over 29 years. His hobbies included master woodworker and cabinet maker and loved to watch baseball and go to Santa Anita Race Track.

Joseph Milan is survived by sons James and John, daughter Olga, and 7 grandchildren.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission, go to the staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please ride/drive safely.
