The Family of Lester H Gravatt has requested participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at their Husband and Fathers memorial service. We are honored by this request and will participate.

Lester was born on May 1, 1933 and recently passed at the age of 82. This proud veteran served a total of 18 years in the Army and Army National Guard. His combat service included a tour in Korea and two tours in Vietnam working as a motor pool mechanic. He achieved the rank of Staff Seargent. Lester's civilian career included work as a mechanic, a handyman and his last 13 years as a security guard before he became ill. Favorite things to do, when he wasn't "tinkering" were watching adventure movies and NFL Football.

He is survived by his wife of 39+ years, Cha and two children, a daughter, Leslie and son Dave. A second daughter, Glenda Kay passed some years ago.

Note: The family believes Lester would have wanted to be carried to his final resting place by fellow veterans. As such, we will do our best to provide six Pallbearers. Please bring white gloves if at all possible.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage. Please ride/drive safely.
