The family of Jon Michael Nelson has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at their Hero’s service with military honors.  We will be honored to attend.

Jon Michael Nelson served his country during the Vietnam war 1967-1972, where he served as a Huey pilot.  Nelson received the Vietnam Service medal along with others to include the Purple Heart.  While in service, he was exposed to Agent Orange with lead to his death.

After his military service Nelson became a contractor where he died on the job, March 5, 2016.

Jon Michael Nelson is survived by his children, Scott, Kelsey and Katrina.  He leaves behind 2 grand-children.  His service will be held on what would have been his 68th birthday.

This is a Combat Related service.  Dog tags will be available.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.

Please post your condolences for the family at the National link:
