The family of PGR Member, USN, Vietnam VET, Greg Gillapsy, have invited the PGR to accompany him and his family from their home to Riverside National Cemetery. We are honored to bring our brother to his final resting place.
Greg served in the United States Navy from 1966 - 1968 with two tours in Vietnam.
Greg has been a very active PGR Member, for many years.
Greg was hit and killed by a suspected drunk driver while out for his regular nightly walk.
He is survived by his wife, 5 adult children and 11 grand children and 3 great grand children.
He touched the lives of everyone who knew him he was beyond active in the community and did everything and then some he could to help Veterans. A Vietnam war veteran known for working to honor the military and pushing to add “In God We Trust” to city council chamber walls thru out California he spearheaded a campaign to make Yorba Linda a “red shirt city” in 2013. The move honors veterans and deployed personnel by wearing red every Friday. The tradition dates to World War II and is one his passions a U.S. Navy veteran, took to the Yorba Linda City Council, which unanimously approved it.
