The family of Douglas Michael Sholders, age 61, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the funeral service of their Hero, it would be our honor to do so.
Douglas Sholders enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1975 and served 7 years until his honorable discharge in 1982 at the rank of E4. He was stationed aboard the USS Prairie (Repair Ship) and he traveled around the world based out of San Diego. His grandfather served in WWI and WWII, proud military family.
In civilian life he was a machinist by trade, but loved working with leather, he was a model builder, a bible scholar and counselor, and a community leader.
Douglas is survived by his wife Lori, his parents Darrel and Audrey Sholders, 3 children, 4 grandchildren and 3 siblings.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
