The family of Robert Raye Powers, age 67, has requested the Patriot Guard Riders' presence at his funeral services and presentation of Military Honors. It will be our honor to do so.
Robert Powers served with the USMC from 4-29-1969 through 5-7-1973. While in Vietnam, he received the National Defense Medal, Meritorious Unit Citation (2nd award), and the Vietnam Service and Campaign Medals. He was discharged as a Lance Corporal.
After his military service, he worked as a civilian worker at CDCR at Chino Institution for Men for 21 years.
Robert is survived by his wife of 42 years Anita, his 3 children Joseph, Julita and Robert Jr and 5 grandchildren.
This mission is to stand flag lines at the arrival of Robert to the church and his departure and Military Honors after the Mass.

1000 - Beginning of Holy Mass.
1100 – Flag Line as Hero is moved from the Church for Military Honors.
Note: The hot weather may become a factor during this mission. Please be sure to hydrate beginning the night before the mission and eat prior to the mission.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
