Per request of our good friend Gregg “Digger” Walker (Walker Family Funeral Services) the family of Ricky Davis has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey.

Gregg met Rick when his Dad, Dean Davis died in 2012 when Walker Funeral Services handled his services. Rick asked that when he died, that we do the same for him.

Ricky was born in Milwaukee on 16 June 1954 and entered into eternal rest on 04 December 2013. Ricky was a longtime resident of Los Angeles County and Whittier and will be laid to rest near his Father and USAF Veteran, Ordean Davis.

Ricky proudly served his county during Vietnam with the Army’s 82nd Airborne as a paratrooper.

After his honorable discharge from the military, Ricky spent his life with his Dad and brother Bob as licensed electricians. Ricky owned and operated Smiles Electric prior to his illness. Ricky was avid Harley rider who especially enjoyed curvy mountain roads, the back roads and the wind in his face.

Ricky is survived by Lucy, his longtime partner and companion. He leaves behind his mother, Dodie, daughters, Sasha and Denai, son Joe, brothers Bob, Ron and Randy and many other family members.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember to post your condolences for the family to this link: http://www.patriotguard.org/showthread.php?384373

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
