The family of Mario Perez has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their Hero for his service and his sacrifice to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.

Mario served in US Navy from 1944 to 1946 and the US Air Force from 1946 to 1972 when he retired at the rank of Major. With tours in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. Our Hero was an InTel Specialist, USAF Special Air Warfare and Counter Insurgency. Receiving Philippine Liberation Award And Victory Medal. Major Perez was committed to serving his country and his community.

In 1993 he was inducted into Hispanic Hall of Fame by California State Senate while serving as President of Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of the American Red Cross board of Directors and president of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce.Through his work with Rotary International, he made a difference in the lives of many in both the local Riverside community and many children in Orfanatorio Emanuel Orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico.

He is survived by Gwen Perez, his wife of 27 years, and their five children, Lisa, Ramona, Marcus, Phillip, and John along with nine grand children, six great-grandchildren and his three brothers and two sisters and their many children.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the church services to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage Please ride/drive safely.
