The family of
Senior Chief Petty Officer William Charlie Harp, 92, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
William was born in Teague, Texas on June 30, 1924. He attended school in Texas, and in December of 1942 at the tender age of 18, joined the U.S. Navy. William served 26 years in the Navy. An Aviation Structural Mechanic, William served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. Upon his retirement he took on a second career with the Chula Vista School District which lasted another 24 years. He was also active with the Fleet Reserve Association, Branch 61, Chula Vista.
William was preceded in death by his wife Velia. He is survived by his two daughters, 4 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary to the cemetery. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

SCPO William C Harp 6/30/1924 – 5/22/2017You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
