The family of Gayl James Thompson, 69, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the funeral service & military honors for their Hero, it will be our honor to do so.

Gayl James Thompson AKA JimBob served in the U.S. Air Force for four years during the Vietnam War. From 1966 to 1970 JimBob served in Vietnam and was stationed at Cheyenne Mountain Colorado (NORAD). He had achieved the rank of Sergeant at the time of his honorable discharge.

After the military, JimBob worked and retired as a landscape contractor foreman with RGB Landscaping in Riverside, CA.
On his free time JimBob enjoyed competing with others in BBQ smoking competitions.  He also enjoyed competing in shooting competitions at his local firing range.  When he was not competing he was very active with the American Legion post 289 as a Commander multiple times, he was also a District 21 Commander.  After that he was very active with the Sons of American Legion Riders.
