The family of James Albert Reiser, US Navy and Vietnam era veteran, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor him for his service to our country. It would be our honor to do so.

James Reiser entered the Navy in 1967, attending boot camp in Great Lakes, IL. After attending school to become an aircraft mechanic he sailed on the USS Sangri-la (CVS-38). He was later stationed in San Diego, working on F-14s and helicopters.

Jim had quite a variety of interests. These included weightlifting, beading jewelry, hitting the beach and watching WWF wrestling matches. He also enjoyed a good pizza with a Pepsi. He is survived by 3 children, sons: Jason and Jeremiah Reiser and daughter: Jaime 0’Sullivan. Also his sister, Suzie McConnell. Jim is predeceased by his son Matthew in 2013.

We will accompany this hero from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, San Diego to Miramar National Cemetery, San Diego, a distance of approximately 12 miles.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero from a church service to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.
