The family of Deputy Sheriff and U.S. Army Veteran Lawrence “Larry” Falce, as well as the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department have asked the Patriot Guard Riders to attend his memorial service and honor his service in the Sheriff’s Department and citizens of the County.  We are honored to do so.

Lawrence “Larry” Falce, 70 years old, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, as a result of injuries sustained from a violent assault after a minor traffic collision in San Bernardino, CA.

Larry served this nation in the U.S. Army and survived two tours in Vietnam. It is unknown what his assignments were or the actual years he was in Vietnam.

Larry began his law enforcement career with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department in 1981 when he went to the Basic Academy Class 67 and then was assigned to the Sheriff’s Department’s corrections system at the Glen Helen Rehabilitation Center in Devore and then at the Central Jail in San Bernardino. He continued on the next step of his career to working patrol at the Sheriff’s Central Station in San Bernardino. Larry worked there his entire career until the time of his passing.

In his off-duty life Larry was adamant about caring for animals and was very active in animal adoptions. He personally rescued several animals to care for and rehabilitate.

Larry is survived by his longtime girlfriend Deborah, and his sister Marjorie Falce-Jorgensen. He is also survived by his extended family from the Sheriff’s Department and other friends.
