The family of Carlos Howard Montano, 88 yrs of age, has requested the Patriot Guard Riders be present for his service to honor him, we are privileged to be there.

Carlos Montano served in both the US Navy and the US Army during the Korean War.  He fought in the Battle of Inchon in 1950, earning 3 Bronze Stars for his bravery in action.  He was honorably discharged in 1952.

Carlos was a farmer, a plumber and an entrepreneur, founding his own plumbing company, Catalina Island Plumbing.

Mr. Montano is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Angela, 7 children, Cecilia, Carlos, Mark, Jaime, Patricia, Lourdes, and Louie, 15 grand children, 9 great grand children.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran.

IMPORTANT:  Do not block driveways or streets at the cemetery, ALWAYS cooperate with cemetery staff.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
