Feb 10-14 is “National Salute to Veteran Patients” week.  The Loma Linda VA (So.CA) Hospital has asked motorcycle groups to come and participate at an event on Feb 13th.  This is an event to thank and honor the Veteran Patients at this medical center.

There will be a warm welcome, designated parking, live music, food and refreshments along with items to give to the Veteran Patients and time to talk with them and share stories.  The Veteran Patients are always so thankful for visitors and especially fellow veterans.  Your presence will warm their hearts and yours.

The organizers of this event have asked the Patriot Guard Riders to lead all riders from the staging location to the VA Hospital with as many tall flags flying as possible.  The patients at the hospital will be able to see us ride in flags waving.  Mounted flags are not required, but they are appreciated so fly em if you got em!

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring these Military Veterans. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will lead this ride from Quaid’s Harley Davidson in Loma Linda a few miles to the Loma Linda VA Hospital. Please see the time table below if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the hospital, we will meet you there.  For those that will be meeting the group at the hospital, if you have flags please stand a flag line for the group’s arrival at approximately 1515 or whenever you hear the thunder.

Time table for Thursday, 13 FEB 14:

1330 - Stage at Quaid’s HD, 25160 Redlands Blvd., Loma Linda, CA (PGR needs to be a little early to stage bikes prior to departing)  http://goo.gl/maps/Bh239

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car.  If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car)
