The family of Major Alvah Edward Ingersoll Jr. (Ret) has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

Maj Alvah Ingersoll Jr., 87, served his country in the United States Marine Corps for 32 years (1947 – 1979).   He was a veteran of the war in Korea and did two tours in Vietnam.   He retired in 1979 at the rank of Major.

This request comes to us from the hero’s son, Alvah Ingersoll III who is a retired USMC Colonel.

The family has requested a short 1/2-mile accompaniment from Nobel Athletic Area to a 1000 committal service at MNC.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying this hero to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.
