Per request of Justin Luyben (Evans Brown & Hemet Valley Mortuaries), the family of MSgt. Nicholas Joseph Vultaggio has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders to honor this American Hero; it will be our honor to do so.

Nick was born on 31 May 1948 in Somerville, Massachusetts and entered Eternal Rest on 22 March 2018 at home in Temecula.

Nick proudly served his country for twenty-two years from 1966 to 1988 in the Marine Corps. Nick served in Vietnam and received awards/citations that included a Purple Heart and the Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Stars. Nick retired as a Master Sergeant.

After his retirement from the Marine Corps Nick was an active member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Martha Catholic Church (was a Head Usher), the VFW and the Marine Corps League.

Nick’s hobbies included going fishing and making himself useful wherever he could.

Nick is survived by his wife of forty-seven years Irene, two sons Christopher and Nicholas. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren, one great-grandson and two sisters, Nora and Vita.

Nick’s loving ways and selfless spirit will be missed by this family and friends.

For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from St. Martha Catholic Church in Murrieta to his final resting place. You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
