The family of SCPO Donald Ray Bassett, 71, USN (RET), has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
Mr. Bassett proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 21 years and retired at the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer E8. He was awarded the Meritorious Unit Commendation: Navy “E” Ribbon; fourth Good Conduct Award; National Defense Service Medal; Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal; Vietnam Service Medal w/2 Bronze Star; Humanitarian Service Medal; Sea Service Deployment Ribbon; republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.
