The Gary Sinise Foundation does many different things to benefit Veterans, and the PGR has been very fortunate to be included in some of those events.  The Foundation has invited the PGR, and we are proud to accept, the honor of being present for the dedication of a specially adapted Smart Home for SSgt Brandon Dodson, USMC, provided by the Foundation through their R*I*S*E program, this is a program specifically founded to provide these homes across the country to many of our Wounded Warriors.

On August 9, 2014 during his fifth deployment, SSgt Brandon Dodson and his platoon were on a mission in a small village when he stepped on a hidden pressure plated improvised explosive device (IED). Brandon remembers opening his eyes to chaos around him. His first instinct was to take care of his men until he realized he was the one in need of care.  Brandon suffered severe injuries from the blast, which required him to a have a double leg amputation above the knee.

You can see more information about SSgt Brandon Dodson and his family here:  https://www.garysinisefoundation.org/projects/rise/brandon-dodson

Please join us for this very joyous occasion of the groundbreaking of the Dodson family's new home and shake the hand of this Hero to let him know how much you appreciate his commitment to our freedom and his sacrifice!
