The family of Robert Craig McKahan has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

Robert McKahn, 95, was a member of the Greatest Generation that fought in WWII.  He achieved the rank of Staff Sgt. and proudly served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from August 1942 to October 1945.

Robert was a Navigator in the B-24 Liberator.  He and his crew are credited with having flown 29 mission over Nazi Germany.  He also flew combat missions over Central Europe and Ardennes, Rhineland.  He was trained as an Armored Gunner and qualified as a marksman on the carbine.  Robert received numerous awards and ribbons for his actions while in combat.

Robert is survived by his son Don and daughter Kate.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will provide a Flag Line at El Camino Memorial Park.  Please see the time table if you would like to participate.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car.  If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
