Part 1 of 2 PartsWe have been invited by the family and the US Marine Corps to attend the arrival and funeral services of a Hero, Sgt Max Melena, age 23, we would be honored to do so.
Sgt Max Melena had been stationed most recently at Quantico, VA serving with the Marine Corps Embassy Security Group, when he tragically passed away. Sgt Melena had served 6 years in the Marine Corps.
Sgt Melena loved the Corps, and was very proud of being a Marine. In his off time he loved working out, music, especially the old classics, and cars. He very much enjoyed the traveling that being in the military afforded him, being able to visit and live in many places around the world.
Sgt Melena was from Lynwood, California, he will be coming home to his family who will dearly miss him.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the airport to the mortuary, approximately 23 miles. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the mortuary, we will meet you there.
