The family of
HM3 Emmett Blake Rowan of Brookfield, PA has invited the PGR to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
HM3 Emmett Rowan, 28, who went by his middle name of "Blake", was a native of Brookville, Pennsylvania. He enlisted in the Navy in June 2013, and reported to basic training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois from June 2013, to August 2013.
He trained to become a Hospital Corpsman in San Antonio, Texas from January 2013 to August 2014. HM3 Rowan then transferred to Naval Medical Center San Diego in August 2014. He worked as a nationally-certified respiratory therapist at the Naval Medical Center. He worked with and helped children at Balboa Naval Hospital, where he was one of the first newly certified Navy Corpsmen to work as a respiratory therapist in the NICU. Sadly, this hero passed while Active Duty in San Diego.
Blake is survived by his parents, his sister, his brother and 2 nieces.
The family has invited the PGR to accompany this hero from Legacy Funeral Care in La Mesa to San Diego Airport for his final journey home. The PGR in Pennsylvania will be there when this hero arrives in Pittsburgh and again on July 16 for his funeral and committal service.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will accompany this hero from the mortuary to the airport. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.

HM3 Emmett B Rowan 10/20/1989 – 7/2/2018You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
