The family of Air Force veteran Robert Lee Garvin has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in honoring this American Hero; we are honored to do so.
CMSgt Garvin was in the USAAC/USAF from 24 JAN 1946 until his retirement on 31 AUG 1970. He was also in the AF reserves, totaling 30 years of service. He retired at the rank of CMSgt.
CMSgt Garvin’s passion in life was music. While serving in the Air Force he was recognized as an outstanding musician. He was in charge of developing the Airmen's' Chorus while he was serving in Italy and continued to perform and serve as choir director in many church events. His son Timothy Garvin has followed in his footsteps regarding music and has taught music for 30 years as well.
CMSgt Garvin is survived by two siblings, Ivan (Rocky) Stoneburner and Betty Garvin Searles, his wife Arlene F. Dillard-Garvin, four children, Ann Leslie Garvin Hermanson, John Garvin, Elizabeth Garvin Stuppy, and Timothy Garvin. Lee had two stepchildren, Shauna Dillard and Gary Dillard, 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Donna Ann Garvin Palmer.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
