My family would like to thank the whole crew that showed up to help honor and lay to rest Larry Cardenas. We herd from many friends and relatives about how wonderful it was seeing all the flags knowing full well that Larry, as do I, always flew the flag on a flag pole outside his house everyday. He loved the American Flag and all it stands for!
The flag line at the church and at the cemetery added so much to this celebration of a man who dedicated his life to serving his family, his Church, his Community and his Country. The escort from church to cemetery went off without any incident thanks to you and your crew.
Arriving at the cemetery and seeing the Navy guys gave us such a wonderful feeling knowing fellow Sailors where going to give him a well deserved honorable sendoff. Having a live Navy bugler to play Taps was fantastic. I'm sure Larry felt loved seeing his fellow AmVets doing the three round volley in his honor.
