The family of Robert Edward Sack Sr. has asked the Patriot Guard Riders to pay honors on their Hero's final journey home. It will be our honor to do so.

Robert was 89 years old at the time of his death. He was born March 03, 1929 and passed away on August 31, 2018.

Robert served in the United States Navy from November 24,1947 to November 23,1956. He was trained as an Aviation Electronics Technician, and was assigned to the Fleet Aircraft Service Squadron 11.  Robert spent almost 5 years at sea including a deployment off the coast of Korea during the war. His rank at the time of his separation was as a Petty Officer 2nd Class.  Among his awards were the National Defense Service Medal, China Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal for Korea, and the Good Conduct Medal(2).

After the Military, Robert worked at Rockwell International. He was part of the management team working on the Space Shuttles Challenger and Endeavor.

He enjoyed bowling and golf in his spare time.

Robert is survived by his wife Carol Lee, sons Robert Jr., James, daughter Candy, 9 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
