The family of
Roger Scott "Rocky” Drown has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
Rocky Drown, 76, served his country in the US Army beginning in 1960 and would serve honorably until his discharge in 1963.
In his post military career Rocky worked as a welder for Rohr Industries, but he was more than a welder; he was an artisan with welding and would craft a myriad of metal projects from anniversary cards, name plates and titanium bonsai trees. Rocky loved doing welding jobs pro bono for his friends; he was also very active in his church teaching Bible classes 6 days a week.
This hero is survived by his wife, his daughter, 3 sons, 3 stepchildren, 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
The family has requested a Flag Line Only at Miramar National Cemetery as Rocky receives his Final Honors.
