The Patriot Guard Riders are honored the family of Melchiore "Mel" Tomaselli asks us to participate in their loved one's funeral and military honors.
 
Mel was born 14 SEP 34 in Brooklyn, NY.  Following high school Mel proudly served his country as a dental technician while in the Army during the Korean War.
 
Following his Army discharge Mel served as an Instructor of Cosmetology, at Citrus Community College for 12 years, then as the Dean of Cosmetology, at Riverside Community College for 13 years.
 
As a child, Mel used to play "stick-ball" with his childhood friend, Frank Torre (Milwaukee Braves & Philidelphia Phillis), and later was scouted by the Brooklyn Dodgers as a pitcher.
 
Mel is survived by his wife, Nancy; sons, Joseph & Ralph; step-children, Tim Marquez, Jenny Rodriguez & Tammy Ramos & eight grandchildren.
 
Note:  This notice is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this military veteran.  For those interested all are welcome.  We will accompany the hero and his family from Harvest Christian Fellowship Church to Riverside National Cemetery.  Please see time table if you would like to participate.  For those that would rather go directly the cemetery, we will meet you there.

1200 - KSU to assigned shelter for flag line and military honors.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
