The family of Ralph Torgersen has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his/his final journey. It will be our honor to do so. This will be a Flag Line Only (FLO) at RNC.

Ralph was 95 at the time of his passing. He served in the U.S. Army / U.S. Air Force from Oct 1943 thru March 1946 during World War II. His rank was Sargent at the time of his exit from military service. Ralph was a pilot and flew the B24 Liberator plane during WWII. Ralph received awards including the Good Conduct Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal, a Bronze Star, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Ribbon, America Theatre Ribbon, Victory Ribbon, Asiatic Service Theatre Medal with 4 Bronze Battle Stars and the South Pacific Theatre Medal.

Ralph was an inventor/investor.  He designed and built his own sports cars from the ground up. He was also an excellent golfer, carrying a scratch golfer handicap most of his life.

His surviving family includes; Spouse Suzanne, Daughter Rhonda Meekins, and sons Larry Meekins and Steve Torgersen.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. Please respect the rules of the cemetery as we are guests at the Riverside National Cemetery.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
