The family of SP5 US Army Charles M. Verity 69 has invited the PGR to attend his funeral service and military honors,
we would be honored to do so.

Charles (Chuck) Michael Verity Sr. went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 16,
2019, he was 69 years young.  Chuck was born on December 26, 1949 in Kalamazoo, MI to James and Katherine Verity. He was
the 2nd oldest of 11 children.

Chuck enlisted in the Army in September 1969 and served until Apr 1972 when he was honorably discharged, and served our country during the Vietnam War.  He received National Defense Service Metal, Marksman (M-14), Sharpshooter(M-16). Vietnam service ribbon, Vietnam Campaign Medal.

He started working for the USPS in 1974 while enlisted in the reserves. Chuck worked for the USPS for 35 years as a mail carrier and retired from the Ridgecrest Post Office in 2009.  In his retirement, he loved working on classic cars and his house. He loved working on and riding his Harley Davidson and playing his guitar. He was a kind hearted, generous and stubborn man that had accomplished all he wanted to do while he was on this earth.

Chuck is preceded in death by his parents James and Katherine Verity, brothers Thomas Verity, Robert Verity and best friend/ brother, James Tedder.  He is survived by his son CJ Verity, daughter Kathy Hileman, daughter Annette Verity, daughter Stephanie Williams, and his adopted extended family Thomas and Karli Tedder, Jamie and Tom O’Malley.  He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren. Chuck is also survived by his brothers Jim Verity, Dennis Verity, Rick Verity, Paul Verity, Jack Verity, Mike Verity, and sister Rosemary Verity.  He is survived by countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the funeral services to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
