The family of Norma Fern Wohlfarth has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for her service to her country.  It will be our privilege to do so.
 
Norma Wohlfarth, 80, served proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1959 to 1962.  She enlisted in the Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Norma served as a Data Processor/Equipment Operator and was honorably discharged at the rank of Cpt (E-4), at Headquarters and Support Battalion, Fleet Marine Force Pacific, Camp H.M. Smith, Halawa, Hawaii.
 
Norma was Worthy Matron of Star of Vista Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star in 1992 and was a member of Escondido Chapter.  She was also active in the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls.  Norma was a member of the Women Marines Association CA-7, the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) (Rancho Buena Vista Chapter), and a very proud member of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants. One of her Mayflower ancestors, Stephen Hopkins was at Jamestown. Norma was a long time volunteer at Wounded Warrior Bn, Camp Pendleton.
 
In civilian life, Norma worked in Property Management.  She is survived by her husband Jerrold Wohlfarth who is a retired US Marine Captain, 2 daughters, 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
 
The family has requested an accompaniment from the funeral home to the cemetery.
 
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this military veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and her family from the mortuary to her final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

1310 - Flag Line for Dignified Transfer to Carriage 
1330 - Flag Line for Funeral Service.  PGR will make a presentation in honor of our hero.  Marine Military Honors will have already been performed and will not be given at the cemetery.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safe.
