The family of CPO Francis V Choquette, age 87, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.

Francis was born on 23 October 1931 and entered into eternal rest on 17 April 2019.

Francis proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1952 – 1982, serving in Korea and Vietnam where he served on 24 different aircraft. In Vietnam he was a Flight Engineer on C130’s, exchanging older planes for newer models.

During his 30 years of service he was awarded the Good Conduct Award 8 times, the Armed Forces of the United States Expeditionary Medal, the National Defense Service Medal with a Bronze Star, the Battle “E” Award and the Navy Occupation Medal. He was honorably discharged as a Chief Petty Officer

In civilian life, Frances worked for the Ramona Sentinel Newspaper operating an inserting machine.  He liked Harley's and owned and rode horses.

Frances is survived by his wife of 51 years, Paula.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain.) Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car.) Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios and cell phones off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe all speed limits. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
