THIS MISSION RESCHEDULED DUE TO RNC CLOSURE ON 17 MAY 2019

Per request of our good friend and PGR member Gregg “Digger” Walker (Walker Family Funeral Services), the family of Santiago “Jim” Orosco has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.

Jim was born on 23 April 1927 in California and entered into Eternal Rest on 18 April 2019 in Riverside, just five days prior to his 92nd birthday.

Jim proudly served his Country for approximately thirty years. Jim enlisted in the Navy in September 1945 and honorably retired as a Lieutenant (junior grade) (LTJG) in January 1975.  Jim served in both Korea and Vietnam.  During Korea, Jim served as a HAM radio operator. Of his many duty stations that Jim served, those included serving aboard the U.S.S. Princeton, Moffett Field and Guam.

After his honorable discharge from the military Jim worked as an electronic technician for Lockheed and AB Dick.

Jim enjoyed traveling and rebuilding computers. He enjoyed crossword puzzles and loved his dog Harley (Yellow Lab).

Jim is survived by his wife Jean, her children, and his children Jim, Mary, Anne, Susan, Michael, Carole, Bill, Ruth, Elizabeth and Gilbert. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also survived by brother Gilbert and sister Margarita.
