Per request of our good friend and PGR member Gregg “Digger” Walker (Walker Family Funeral Services), the family of LtCol Larry Donald Rambo, 84, USAF(Ret) has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.

Larry was born on 11 January 1935 and entered into Eternal Rest on 30 April 2019.

Larry proudly served in the U.S Air Force as a B-52 bomber pilot that included numerous combat missions over Vietnam. Some of Larry’s duties included being an Air Operations Officer for over ten years and a Navigator-Bombardier for fifteen years. His numerous awards/citations included the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Force Commendation Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Combat Readiness Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Silver Oak Leaf Cluster, Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm Device, Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon with 1 Silver Oak Leaf Cluster, Small Arms Expert Ribbon and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.  After serving more than twenty-five years in the Air Force, Larry honorably retired from March Air Force Base as a Lieutenant Colonel.

Larry, a widower, is survived by his sons Larry Frank Jr., Jim and daughter Lisa. He also leaves behind two granddaughters. Larry was predeceased by his wife Sarah.

Our own PGR Ride Captain Ray “T-Bone” Gould will be officiating the funeral service in full Air Force uniform.
