The family of SSG Terry Lee Smith has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service. It will be our privilege to do so.
SSG Terry Smith served in the US Army from 1969 to 1992 when he retired with 23 yrs of service. Our hero served in the Vietnam war and received the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (3OLC) , Army Achievement Medal (5OLC),Good Conduct Medal (6th Award), National Defense Service Medal w/ Bronze Service Star, Vietnam Service Medal (3 campaigns), NCO Professional Development Ribbon (2), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (2), Army Reserves Components Overseas Training Ribbon (3), Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w Palm.
After his retirement from the military Terry Smith went to work for the Department of Defense as a Federal Police Officer, and retired again in 2009.
He was an only child and is survived by his wife Blanch Smith, Children Stella Smith, Christina Raftis and Terri Conklin and 9 grandkids.
NOTE: This is a combat related mission. SSG Smith was exposed to Agent Orange in Vietnam, which sadly, ultimately led to his passing. THERE WILL BE DOG TAGS FOR THIS MISSION to further honor him for his years of suffering the effects of combat.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
