The family of John Cimino, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in his final Military Honors. It will be our honor and privilege to do so.
John enlisted in the US Army Air Corps on July 10, 1940 and was honorable discharged in November, 1945. During this period, John was stationed at Hickham Field, Territory of Hawaii, for 15 months and spent another 17 months at airfields in the Asian and European theaters. John was awarded the following: Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Campaign Ribbon, European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon, Distinguished Unit Badge and 1944 Victory Medal.
John met his wife to be at a USO dance in 1942 and were married on his next 3 day leave, which happened to be on July 4th. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, DAV and VFW.
After the Army, John worked for the IRS. John and his wife loved the Ventura County Fair and participated in the Blessing of the Marriages in their Golden Years.
John was predeceased by his wife and is survived by three daughters, four grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
John and his wife will have their ashes buried at sea together after Military Honors.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
