LAX Snowball Express 2019 - PART 2
This is a very special Help On The Home Front Event.
Background:
SBE was established for the surviving Spouses and Children of our fallen Heroes from Iraq and Afghanistan. Snow Ball Express is a trip sponsored by American Airlines and the Gary Senise Foundation, that brings Families from all over the Country to Orlando, Florida, were the Families are treated to entertainment and various activities. This year the SBE will return on Wednesday, 11 December 2019.

https://www.facebook.com/snowballexpress The PGR helps the families with their baggage at their LAX Baggage Claim, Airport Curbside, and back at their hotel. At 1100 hrs on 11 Dec 19 the PGR will meet at the American Airlines Baggage Claim area (look for us near Starbucks) in Terminal 4.
Following a quick meeting to discuss the changes for 2019, the PGR will meet the families in Baggage Claim and assist them with their luggage as we move them back upstairs to load the bus that will return them to the Embassy Suites Hotel, 1440 E Imperial Ave, El Segundo, CA 90245
https://goo.gl/maps/jFCEjYdNsM22. If you wish to meet the families at the Hotel, please be there Not Later Than 1245 hrs. Please Do Not bring anything to give the children except your love and hugs.
Some families will go back to the departure hotel (the PGR will accompany) while others will have their baggage loaded into waiting transportation. Again we will be of whatever assistance the Families need.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring these Gold Star families. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the families from the airport to their hotel. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.
Part 2 Time table for Wednesday, 11 Dec 19: 1100 - Stage at American Airlines Baggage Claim (Terminal 4)
1130 - Mission briefing - new parking procedures at LAX
1200 - Aircraft due - Meet families and assist with luggage
1300 - Est KSU to the Hotel
NOTE: Cages and motorcycles are to park in Parking Structure 4 in order to receive Parking Validation. Do not park at American Airlines Baggage Claim. Motorcycles park for free. R/C John GretzingerMAJ, AVN, USA (Ret.)

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
