The family of Josef J. Hahn have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to join them at the services for their hero, we would be honored to do so.
 
Joe joined the Navy 12 Oct 67 and proudly served for 4 years as a Machinist Mate on board the CVA Bon Homme Richard. Joe did 2 tours off shore of Vietnam, westpac cruises. Joe received the Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal(Korea), Meritorious Unit Commendation, and RVN Meritorious Unit Citation (Gallantry Cross).Joe was Honorably discharged on 10 June 1971.
 
Joe went on to become a Master Gardner. He also volunteered at VA Loma Linda Hospital mostly teaching smoking cessation for over 10 years.
 
Joe is survived by his mother, Maria, 2 sisters, Christa Plesinger and Anna Mead. One son Mike and wife and Joe's two grand children.

 
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

1045 - KSU to assigned shelter for Flag Line, Service and Military Honors.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
