The family of Eliazar Leal II has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

Eliazar Leal, 52, served his country for 4 years, May 1988 to May 1992, in the US Marine Corps, time that included being deployed for Operation Desert Storm-Shield.  During his service he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Kuwait-Saudi Arabia Liberation Medal, Southwest Asia Medal, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, and a Sea Service Ribbon.   When his four years were completed he was Honorably Discharged at the rank of Lance Corporal (E-3).

After his discharge Eliazar went to college but his passion was volunteering at the Veteran’s Village of San Diego, formerly the Vietnam Vets of San Diego (VVSD) across from MCRD, where he volunteered countless hours as a mentor. Because of his devotion to service and his love for Veterans, he was the positive influence that would guide many to get their lives in order. His hobbies were studying and fixing watches.

Eliazar is survived by his mother Frances, and sisters Maria and Belinda.
